Flights

Cancun is the closest airport to Playa del Carmen and is serviced by most large airlines. 

There are daily direct flights into the Cancun airport from many major US cities. Jet Blue flies direct from NY. United Airlines and Virgin Airways are also great airlines if you are flying from the West Coast. Check out Kayak for the best rates.

Rental Cars

Playa del Carmen is about 1 hour south of the Cancun Airport. Renting a car and driving down is very easy. It’s one main highway all the way. We recommend Dollar, Avis, or Enterprise for your rental car needs. Hertz can be quite a bit pricier than the other companies. Make sure to purchase full insurance once you get there (not online when booking your vehicle).

Shuttles

If you would like to take a shuttle from the airport, we recommend Cancun Shuttle for one-way or round trip transfers. Prices range from $75-85 one way and $135-$145 round trip for up to 10 passengers.
